~First Impression
A death and a bond, later explained I was kind of surprised to know that the bishop decided to at least form a bond with the man to be executed. Not many will speak to one labeled as a criminal.
Main Character, Jean Valjean. I see that Jean committed a crime for his and his family's survival. I don't like poachers, they're cruel. I feel bad that Jean Valjean was only supposed to spend 5 years in jail. The way Jean Valjean had faced more bad ways of life has made me wonder how terrible it really must've been. this chapter made me realize how big world hunger really is.
