 -The fact that the Bishop has a lot of faith in God is a bit surprising to me

-I like that almost everyone was trying to convince the man to not go by himself

LES MIS BK 2 CH 7

 Jean Valjean in this chapter made me believe that he did undergo a change. I've never once read that someone was using learning to convert it to master the ways of evil. I can see how instinct was playing a big part in how the process Jean Valjean went through to come out different than when he first got into prison.
